North Composites Engineering specialises in providing comprehensive all-inclusive composite course training across all composite sectors. Our experience in the formula 1, wind turbine and aircraft industries, setting standards with these sectors and industrial bodies drive the content and structure of our courses.

High Standards

National Occupational Standards (NOS) set out the skills and knowledge which need to be achieved to perform recognised activities in the workplace.

Our engineering staff worked extensively with the sector skills bodies and industry to develop the frameworks for the standards for the composite industry sector and have brought this experience into the development of our composite courses.

All our courses reflect the National Occupational Standards for skills development and underpinning knowledge. The courses are dynamic and reflect the changing recommendations given by manufacturers as knowledge and experience is gained by the industry sector.

Our aircraft composite courses are specifically designed to adopt the standards and practices of the main aircraft manufacturers, following their specified procedures for repair.

All our tutors are professional practicing engineers with up to date teaching qualifications and many years practice in delivery and development of courses at all levels.

Structure and TIming

All our composite courses adopt a theoretical and practical approach to learning with both theoretical notes and practical activities documented as a complete set for each delegate in a bound folder. Lectures, lecture room exercises, demonstrations, videos and research activities, where appropriate, support the learning.

Courses follow a scheduled daily plan which is monitored and amended daily to reflect delegate’s achievements, following good practice and years of educational experience our courses are learning led and not restricted by fixed time activities, learning and achievement are monitored on an individual basis.

Delegates are encouraged to question, criticise and to reflect on the techniques learnt during the training and how this reflects the changing practices of the composite sectors.

The importance of quality assurance is stressed throughout all our courses and particular attention is paid to the adoption of quality control procedures throughout the processes practiced during the courses.
